Bassem Youssef’s Australian tour has been postponed after he was required to provide additional background documentation amid a public campaign by critics seeking to deny him a visa. Peter Wertheim and the Executive Council of Australian Jewry had made representations to Australia’s Department of Home Affairs seeking to keep Bassem out. Bassem says the shows are postponed—not cancelled—and he intends to return.
