Israel Lobby ‘Infiltrates UK Law’ With Barclays Terror Sentencing

"Everyone was shocked.” Barclays 5 defendant Amanda Kelly told Novara Live’s Aaron Bastani what it was like to find out she is set to be sentenced as a terrorist – for spray-painting a bank and cracking its windows. Kelly and her four co-defendants were convicted of criminal damage, which is not a terror offence. The jury was not told that the judge could add a “terror connection” during sentencing. The activists staged the direct action at a Burnley branch of Barclays to protest the bank’s links to Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems. Novara Live co-host Michael Walker said the terror sentencing decision was “crazy”. “I do think this is an example of the Israel lobby really infiltrating British law,” he said.
