An already shaky ceasefire deal is on the brink of collapse as tensions spike over the Strait of Hormuz. Both Iran and the US have launched fresh strikes on Tuesday morning, the first day of US President Donald Trump’s “Operation Freedom”. Trump said the US Navy would be escorting ships through the narrow shipping route, which Iran claims is a breach of the ceasefire deal.
