A new Reuters Ipsos poll shows public approval of the US-led war on Iran has fallen to just 27 percent, lower than support for the Vietnam War in its final two years. Despite the Trump administration's insistence that the threat from Iran was imminent, Americans appear more concerned with rising grocery and gas prices than military action overseas. The conflict has also divided Trump's political base, with some supporters accusing him of prioritising Israel's interests over America's, whilst Democrats are seizing on public discontent ahead of November's midterm elections.
