Gaza ceasefire stalls as two million remain displaced five months on

 

  

 Five months after the Gaza ceasefire entered what was designated as phase two, conditions for the territory's two million displaced residents remain largely unchanged. The phase was intended to bring further Israeli military withdrawal and the start of reconstruction, but humanitarian aid remains limited, basic services are strained, and most families are still living in tents. Sporadic violence continues, and there has been no large-scale reconstruction or meaningful return of displaced people to their homes.
