Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China spokesperson Lin Jian sharply criticised the United States Department of the Treasury after it sanctioned Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refinery Co over alleged links to Iranian oil trade, calling the move an abuse of “illegal unilateral sanctions” and “long-arm jurisdiction” without basis in international law.
