On Saturday 30th August, Preston hosted a powerful public rally for Your Party, drawing more than 500 people to hear voices of defiance and hope. Sixteen-year-old Mishel Rafiq gave a stirring speech about young people standing against oppression 'against all the odds', while Lindsey German of Stop the War challenged the rise of racism and scapegoating of refugees. Independent councillor Michael Lavalette called for a party rooted in communities and trade unions - not career politicians. Jeremy Corbyn, interim co-Leader of Your Party, spoke about Gaza, the fight for peace and the urgent need for a genuine alternative to the toxic politics of Reform. Together, these voices show the energy building towards a new kind of movement.
