Benjamin Netanyahu has announced a major expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, as he rejected the idea of a Palestinian state. Israel also continued to demand the evacuation of around a million people from Gaza City. His much-heralded offensive that will require a call-up of thousands of reservist Israeli soldiers. But some of them have united with the families of the Israeli hostages to call for an end to the war.
