Comedian Bassem Youssef answers questions from the Oxford Union audience about pro-Palestine student encampments, common ground for achieving peace and the power of humour & satire when holding power to account. Mr Youssef worked for 13 years as a surgeon in Egypt before switching to a career in media in 2011. Fearing arrest by the al Sisi regime, Youssef left Egypt for Dubai in 2014. He later relocated to the United States and in November 2015, he hosted the 43rd International Emmy Awards.
