So who is behind this secretive arms firm? RUK Advanced Systems Ltd makes missiles for urban warfare and is part of Rafael, Israel’s state-owned defence giant. Rafael has been responsible for making many of the missiles and drones that Israel uses to bomb Palestine. As the war in Gaza continues, Rafael’s infamous ‘Spike guided missiles’ have been called out for causing “huge numbers of civilian casualties”. Meanwhile, the company’s UK arm is shrouded in mystery. RUK does not appear to own a factory in the UK – despite the company claiming that its products are made here. We investigated why the company deleted its website and its links lobbying British politicians in Parliament.
