On Saturday 9 August 2025 more than 500 citizens, among them many retirees, were arrested for holding signs expressing opposition to the genocide and support for Palestine Action, the non-violent anti-war group.
Novara’s Steven Methven went down to Parliament Square to talk to those taking part, ask what they make of our government’s relationship with Israel, and hear from them why they were prepared to put their personal liberty on the line.
