On 13th June 2025, over one thousand people from more than 50 countries gathered on the road to Rafah, attempting a peaceful march to break the siege on Gaza. Originally pretending to be tourists to avoid being stopped, activists, medics, and concerned citizens from across the globe came together with one message: stop the genocide and let aid through. But before reaching their destination, they were met by armed police, border restrictions, and a blockade that turned their humanitarian effort into a standoff. What followed were hours of confusion, confiscated passports, exhaustion under the sun, and desperate pleas from participants including volunteers who had witnessed firsthand the devastation in Gaza.
