Smoke rose over Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, on Tuesday after Israeli airstrikes targeted the city’s airport. Israel confirmed the strikes were in retaliation for a Houthi missile that landed near Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday. Witnesses reported four explosions. According to airport sources, the runway, departures hall, three planes, and a nearby military base were hit. A day earlier, Israeli strikes on Hodeidah killed four people and injured 39, according to Houthi officials. Tensions continue to rise as the Iran-backed Houthis pledge to block Israeli airspace in support of Gaza.
