Palestinian patients enter Egypt as Rafah crossing opens after nine months

The Rafah border crossing has opened for the first time in nearly nine months to allow sick and wounded Palestinian patients in Gaza to travel to Egypt for medical treatment abroad, as part of the ceasefire agreement. Gaza’s Health Ministry on Saturday said a group of 50 patients, accompanied by 61 caregivers, crossed from Rafah to reach Egypt. It's the second day since the Rafah Crossing reopened after it was destroyed by an Israel offensive. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reports from Rafah, Palestine.
